Warranty

Installed batteries will be warranted for 12 months from installation under these conditions:

  • When choosing to replace batteries using Luxe Volt Mobile Solutions, LLC, all batteries within the vehicle must be replaced at the same time in order to receive a warranty.
  • All batteries must be installed by a technician with Luxe Volt Mobile Solutions, LLC.
  • A Luxe Volt Mobile Solutions, LLC technician must perform a test on the completed battery instillation and provide a written report for the service proving the ability to warranty the batteries. (This report may be on the receipt).
  • To receive a new battery using a warranty, a Luxe Volt Mobile Solutions, LLC technician must test the battery before replacing.
  • Warranty does not provide financial refunds, only replacements.
  • Replacement batteries will continue the 12-month original warranty but will not start the warranty period over.
  • Any battery showing severe discharge once tested for warranty, is not subject to be exchanged under the warranty.

To maintain the life of your battery, schedule quarterly battery maintenance!

Why is “SEVERE DISCHARGE” not covered under warranty?

When a battery dips to 11.80 volts, the battery is considered to be fully discharged.

Batteries will naturally self-discharge up to 15% per month (even when disconnected), and lead sulfation occurs when the state of charge drops below 11.80 volts. Anything below 10V will rapidly diminish the life of your battery.

A continued drain (parasitic load) on the battery from electronics or a bigger drain on the battery from lights being left on (or any excess in drain in the electrical system) will permanently damage the cells in the battery by draining it to this decreased voltage.

These conditions often occur in “seasonal batteries” or can occur if the drain on the battery exceeds the occurrence of charging to where an “automatic charger/tender” will not recognize an optimal “return voltage” of 12 volts or more (thus allowing the battery to continue to sulfate rather than the charger recognizing the battery needs a charge).

A battery warranty covers defective materials, workmanship and performance under proper usage. If you fail to maintain the charge on a battery it will fail and that is deemed avoidable and not considered a manufacturer defect.

HOW CAN I STORE MY BATTERY?

The best way is to use a “battery tender/maintainer”. This ensures that your battery will be ready to go and fully charged the next time you need it while shutting itself off and “float charging” to make sure your battery isn’t overcharged.

An alternative would be to disconnect your negative cable to break the circuit. This will reduce the drain from your electrical system (parasitic load) but will not eliminate the self-discharge from the battery of up to 15% a month.

Luxe Volt Mobile Solutions, LLC sells battery tenders, please ask for this to be included in your purchase and delivery.
